On behalf of our client, one of the world’s great energy production corporations, Brunel are currently seeking for a Senior Process Commissioning Engineer. This role will be primarily responsible to deliver a cutting edge project in accordance with project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability.

  • Responsible for reviewing all EPC Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning deliverables and supportto Engineering for reviewing of discipline technical documents.
  • Responsible for ensuring the satisfactory completion of commissioning of systems in terms of quality of work, schedule and budget including ‘Ready for Start-up’ dossiers while in the fabrication yard and offshore.
  • Responsible for attending and supporting technical meetings with EPC team for equipment suppliers, expediting delivery of equipment and attend to factory inspection and tests.
  • Responsible for supporting EPC with completion system build and ensuring the onshore CCLBD willensure all scope is completed by priority and on schedule prior to load out.
  • Supervise and manage team for execution of the onshore and offshore commissioning activities with regards to relevant discipline.
  • Ensure the systems are commissioned in a professional manner and as per project specification(OPERCOM), in line with project schedule and priorities.
  • Ensure all HSE standards are fully implemented and met during the commissioning phase of the projects.
  • Liaise with the commissioning leader and manage team to complete the onshore and offshorecommissioning of subsystems following the project schedule and priorities for handover to the
    operations team.
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of OPERCOM pre-commissioning and commissioningmethodology.
  • Witness as appropriate the pre-commissioning activities performed by the EPC onshore andvalidation of ‘Ready for Commissioning’ dossiers. Similar for offshore.
  • Verification of ICAPS (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System) database for the discipline.
  • Ensure project specific requirements are followed properly such as API Standards, DNV and the like.
  • Witness the equipment preservation whilst in the fabrication yard.
  • Participate in meetings and toolbox meetings upon request.
  • Responsible for the review and support of onshore pre-commissioning and commissioning activities or related discipline.
  • Assistance and contractor follow up during offshore installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning.
  • Provide assistance to Operations / Start-up team.
  • Identify and mobilize materials, vendors, third parties required for offshore commissioning activities.
  • Responsibility for the mark-ups of drawing (“As Commissioned Documents”).
  • Participate in the preparation, review and execution of all Commissioning Engineering deliverables
  • Progress reporting and planning for all activities related to the above duties including but not limited to, progress, man hours, punch-lists etc to the commissioning leader.
  • Work permit and RA creation, verification and validation for related discipline.
  • Ensure equipment is preserved and maintained as per plan and ICAPS records are kept in order.
  • Custodian for the review of “Redline Markup” master drawings for discipline.
  • As technical expert for process equipment, report technical problems encountered and providetechnical support for the resolution of technical issues and cost-efficient solutions for brownfields
    scope and project scope.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations as required.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments, HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP’s, workshops, design reviews,constructability reviews and project reviews etc. as required.
  • Assist in identifying project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required.
  • Effectively engage in business cost reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies,standards and procedures.
  • Ensure all package designs are compliant with ‘Australian Safety Case’ requirements.
  • Ensure commissioning activity minimizes any environmental impact in line with project requirements.
  • Ensure that personnel working on relevant subsystems adhere to the HSE procedure in place andadheres to the safety instruction as listed in the PTW.
  • Identify and ensure team have undertaken and followed necessary training to safety and efficientlycarry out their scope of work.
  • Proactively adhere to and promote the client and company workplace values and behavioursexercising tolerance and respect for diversity.
  • Ensure effective coordination with all team members including all Phase 2 project entities and EPCcontractors.
  • Interface with the operations team for handover of the equipment.
  • Coordinate ‘Third Party’ inspections.
  • Develop cooperative working relationships across the business and effectively communicate withmanagement and contractor personnel.
  • Integrate operations personnel in the operational tests of relevant subsystems for smooth handover (One-team approach)

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in a relevant discipline in a process/offshore topsides environment
  • Recent & relevant experience delivering/commissioning process/compression systems.
  • Debottlenecking and operational plant troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to develop cooperative working relationships across the brownfields, project and operations3/2 team.
  • Actively works to resolve issues or grievances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effective communicators
  • Working knowledge of operating and complying within an ‘Australian Safety Case’ environment
  • Existing Full Working Rights in Australia
  • TBOSIET – minimum requirement for those individuals mobilized for offshore scope
  • MSIC – minimum requirement for those individuals mobilized for offshore scop
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status (desirable)
  • Engineering degree
  • Working at Heights (desirable)
  • Confined Space Entry (desirable)
  • Provide First Aid (Desirable)
