About this role: Cranes and Lifting Project Engineer

On behalf of our client we are currently seeking a Project Engineer with cranes and lifting equipment experience.
Ideally you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience on cranes and lifting equipment. You have manually worked on crane maintenance/refurbishment projects and have a Mechanical Engineering degree. If you have worked offshore and wish to come onshore and go home more often – then this could be the role for you.

This is a small team so you will wear many hats. You will be the 2IC/Second In- Command to the Cranes and Lifting Manager so you are strong at people management and also running a budget.

The jobs you will quote on and manage range from between a hundred thousand to a few million Australian Dollars each - so every day and every scope will be different. You will run multiple projects of varying sizes at any given time so your ability to multitask is strong.

The position is for someone who is capable of working autonomously for the most part and in teams depending on the size of the project.

You will work with clients to develop plans for the scopes of work, write work-packs and compile purchasing plans for equipment and parts needed. For this your communication and time management skills are solid.

You are highly familiar with API lifting standards and protocols.



In this position you will carry out inspections, maintenance and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic lifting equipment. You will also be inspecting and analyzing hydraulic lifting systems and preparing maintenance reports for improvement and upgrades of existing equipment.

To apply for this role you will have:

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- 5 to 6 years' experience in Crane Maintenance

- Strong Project Engineering skills

- Experience working offshore

- Current BOSIET

- Current UKOG medical

- Valid MSIC

- Valid Australian Working Rights



You have full Australian working rights and can work South of the River. There will be some ad - hoc travel requirements to oversee or execute a job. This role is Permanent with excellent career progression, training and development opportunities.
