This individual will support the overall recruitment efforts and ensure an excellent candidate and new hire experience. They will ensure that posted jobs are visible in established channels and ensure applicants move quickly and efficiently through the hiring process. By coordinating with hiring managers and leadership, the recruiter will be helping to build Canada’s leading cannabis extraction company, and ensure it has the best talent available in the global market

About this role

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage requisitions and recruitment efforts to support rapid growth
  • Assist, support and coach hiring managers on interview best practices
  • Act as an ambassador to promote the company as an employer of choice within the community
  • Draft employment contracts and job description
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Update and edit templates within ATS
  • Screen resumes and candidates against hiring criteria
  • Post jobs to various sites and job boards
  • Facilitate pre-employment testing
  • Provide information and insight to relocated candidates
  • Conduct ongoing sourcing and searches for talent
  • Conduct interviews using various recruiting and selection tools/methods within schedule
  • Help organize and attend recruitment events and hiring fairs
  • Other duties as assigned by the talent acquisition lead


About you

Requirements

  • 2-4 years in Talent Acquisition or recruitment experience
  • Practiced and effective behavioural interviewing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders through the recruitment process
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading and word processing skills
  • Possesses a sense of urgency and is highly adaptable to changing priorities and tasks
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Degree or Diploma in Business is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check required
